"Millions of families acquired puppies during the first few rounds of coronavirus lockdowns. Pandemic puppies were so popular that we faced a shortage of pets for quite some time. But now, a truly unfortunate result of the world opening back up is the return of many of these fur babies back to local adoption centers.

I love that Pedigree is driving awareness of this post-pandemic problem. As brands, we take the approach to addressing issues by adding more to the world — more content, more services, more pets. But in this instance, their use of curation in the matching of pets and families through AI is a smart way of making the most of what already exists. A far more sustainable approach that I hope to scale beyond the platform.”
